Palacete das Artes - Museu Rodin Bahia (Palace of the Arts – Bahia Rodin Museum)
Installed in a 1912 Palace, property of Commendator Bernardo Martins Catharino (1861-1944), the building went through a careful restoration process led by the architects Marcelo Ferraz and Francisco Fanucci after 2003, when it was destined to host the Palacete das Artes (Palace of the Arts). Between 2009 and 2012, integrating the program of the "Year of France in Brazil", 62 works by French sculptor Auguste Rodin (1840-1917) were exhibited in its facilities. Four bronze sculptures of the artist were acquired permanently by the museum and enchant the Palace gardens. The venue has an intense cultural program and hosts art shows and various temporary exhibitions.
