Museu Tempostal

from Tuesday to Saturday from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The Tempostal Museum has as its original nucleus the private collection of the Sergipean Antonio Marcelino do Nascimento (1929-2006). Inaugurated in 1997, the Museum currently holds about 50,000 items dating from the late nineteenth century to the mid-twentieth century. Its collection consists of postcards, prints and photographs on themes and varied places, which constitute a set of unquestionable historical and artistic value. From the collection stand out images of ancient Bahia and the refined postcards of the Belle Époque. Different records of urban transformations in Salvador and other cities in Brazil and in the world constitute another unique collection of the collection.
