Museu da Gravura (Museum of Engraving)

With an annual calendar that includes exhibitions of national and foreign artists and a collection of approximately 5,000 works, the Printmaking Museum was created in 1989 and holds creations of internationally recognized artists contemplating the most different engraving techniques. Headquartered at the Solar do Barão, the museum has inviting spaces and maintains a daily commitment to promote dynamic learning and knowledge sharing environments. The space holds workshops and permanent courses aimed at the general public, including, among others, courses in woodcut and engraving in metal. The Museum of Engraving is based in the Solar Barão cultural complex, which includes three other cultural centers: the Photography Museum, Gibiteca and the Poster Museum.
