Museu da Fotografia (Photography Museum)
With a collection of approximately 1,500 images, the Curitiba Museum of Photography houses one of the most important collections of contemporary Brazilian photographs. Inaugurated in 1998 and installed in Solar do Barão - a cultural complex whose construction dates back to the 1880s and which houses other cultural facilities in the city - the museum includes in its annual program temporary exhibitions of Brazilian and foreign artists, as well as exhibitions that allow the public to know closely the images of its own collection. The Museum of Photography is based in the Solar Barão cultural complex, which includes three other cultural centers: the Printmaking Museum, Gibiteca and the Poster Museum.
