Museu da Cultura Cearense
Museu da Cultura Cearense (Museum of Cearense Culture)
Opened to the public in 1999, the Museu da Cultura Cearense (Museum of Cearense Culture) is installed in the Dragão do Mar Center of Art and Culture (Sea Dragon). It is a space dedicated to the encouragement and diffusion of art and culture from Ceará. By the means of scenery, objects and images, the exhibition Vaqueiros (Cowboys) allows visitors to experience an immersion into the daily lives of those men, drawing back to the beginnings of the territory occupation through cattle raising until the present days. The museum carries temporary exhibitions and art shows focused on the revaluation of popular artists, especially in the production of handicrafts. The Projeto Acesso (Access Project) allows the disabled public to interact with the exhibits.
