Memorial Natal - Parque da Cidade Dom Nivaldo Monte (Natal Memorial - Dom Nivaldo Monte City Park)

Located in the Parque da Cidade Dom Nivaldo Monte (Dom Nivaldo Monte City Park), the Memorial Natal (Natal Memorial) is a museum built to tell the history of the city through photographs and videos. It was inaugurated in 2008 and is installed on top of Torre de Natal (Natal Tower), a monument 45 meters high, which with the City Park, makes up one of the most peculiar scenes of Natal. The complex was designed by architect Oscar Niemeyer and occupies an area of 64 hectares. Besides the famous Tower and Memorial, the park has five paved trails (6.5 km), four rest areas, a library, an auditorium, an environment educational centre and a belvedere.
